Job summary

CEMEX, Inc. is seeking a results-driven Coordinator Production to support plant operations and ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards while optimizing daily workflows.

You will coordinate equipment, maintenance planning, and production reporting, with responsibilities spanning safety, training, quality, and workforce planning. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Educational and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience. MSHA certification (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
• Experience: 3–5 years in operations or related industrial role; supervisory experience preferred; cement process experience a plus.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software systems; strong written and verbal communication; troubleshooting and decision-making abilities; attention to detail; teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to operate heavy equipment; bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Promote safety per company, OSHA, and MSHA standards.
• Training & Development: Develop team skills; participate in safety committees and risk assessments.
• Environmental Responsibility: Ensure environmental regulations are followed.
• Product Quality: Support quality with Quality Control and other departments.
• Operations Oversight: Monitor plant equipment and production performance; manage startup/shutdown procedures.
• Workforce Planning: Assign schedules, approve overtime, ensure staffing.
• Equipment Maintenance: Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders.
• Reporting & Documentation: Complete daily production reports; document issues.
• Coordination: Manage shipments of cement and communicate quarry operations to teams.
