Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a coordinated Production Coordinator to support plant operations, ensuring safety, environmental and quality standards while optimizing daily activities. You will coordinate equipment, maintenance planning and production reporting to drive efficiency and team development.

The role requires 3–5 years in operations, a technical degree, MSHA certification (or ability to obtain), and strong communication. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, with on-site work at our Alabama plant.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
3–5 years in operations or related industrial role; supervisory experience preferred.
MSHA certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
Proficiency in MS Office and related software; strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform essential job functions; physically capable.

Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance: Ensure work meets OSHA/MSHA standards.
Training & Development: Develop team skills and safety programs.
Environmental Responsibility: Ensure regulatory compliance across plant ops.
Product Quality: Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain high standards.
Operations Oversight: Monitor equipment, production performance; follow startup/shutdown procedures.
Workforce Planning: Schedule shifts, authorize overtime, ensure staffing.
Equipment Maintenance: Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders.
Reporting & Documentation: Complete daily production reports; track issues.
Coordination: Manage shipments of cement and communicate quarry ops.
