Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a results-driven Coordinator Production to support plant operations at the Demopolis facility. You will ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards are met while optimizing daily operations, coordinating equipment, planning maintenance, and producing daily production reports.

The role requires 3–5 years in operations, MSHA certification or ability to obtain it, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience.
• MSHA certification (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in operations or a related industrial role; supervisory experience preferred.
• Cement process experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure work aligns with company, OSHA, and MSHA standards.
• Training & Development: Ensure team members have required skills and participate in safety programs.
• Environmental Responsibility: Oversee environmental compliance across plant operations.
• Product Quality: Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain high standards.
• Operations Oversight: Monitor plant equipment, production performance, and startup/shutdown procedures.
• Workforce Planning: Schedule work, authorize overtime, manage staffing levels.
• Equipment Maintenance: Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders to keep equipment reliable.
• Reporting & Documentation: Complete daily production reports and report unsafe conditions.
• Coordination: Manage shipments of cement and communicate quarry operations to teams.
