Job Summary

We’re looking for a results‑driven and safety‑conscious Coordinator Production to support our plant operations. The role ensures that all production activities meet safety, environmental, and quality standards, while optimizing daily operations and supporting team development. Responsibilities include equipment coordination, maintenance planning, and production reporting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company, OSHA, and MSHA standards.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary skills to perform their roles safely and effectively; participate in safety committees, training programs, and risk assessments.
  • Oversee compliance with environmental regulations across plant operations.
  • Support product quality by collaborating with Quality Control and other departments to troubleshoot and maintain high standards.
  • Monitor and manage plant equipment, oversee production performance, and ensure equipment startup/shutdown procedures are followed.
  • Assign work schedules, authorize overtime, and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders; ensure equipment operates reliably and efficiently.
  • Complete daily production reports, track issues, and report unsafe areas or practices.
  • Support logistical operations by managing shipments of cement and communicating quarry operations to the relevant teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education/experience; MSHA certification required or obtainable within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 3–5 years of experience in operations or a related industrial role; supervisory experience preferred; cement process experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software systems; strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent troubleshooting and decision‑making abilities; strong attention to detail; ability to manage priorities; effective teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to operate heavy equipment and perform essential physical job functions; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Safety first: wearing protective equipment and adhering to safety protocols is required.
  • Dynamic environment: work in outdoor and indoor environments, with exposure to physical labor and harsh conditions such as extreme heat, humidity, extreme cold, noise, and dust.
  • Physical requirements: frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, pushing, pulling, climbing; must be physically able to perform all essential job functions, including communication with phone and radio, hearing verbal commands and audible alarms, and operating around large mobile equipment and conveyor systems; must pass physical exam (back X‑ray, vision test, hearing test, functional capability evaluation, respiratory fit test, drug/alcohol screen).
  • Work schedule: varying shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work location: this position is performed in person at the assigned worksite; remote work is not available.
