Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company in Chanute, KS is seeking a Plant Supervisor to lead production operations across mills and kilns on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will coordinate with maintenance, quality control, shipping and production to meet schedules and safety standards.

The role requires a technical degree and at least 3 years of process-control production experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational/technical degree in production or process control.
• Minimum 3 years of production experience with emphasis on process control.
• Strong English communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Supervise shift personnel and coordinate with maintenance, quality control, shipping, and production.
• Assign and communicate job responsibilities and schedules for the shift.
• Monitor attendance and supervise performance.
• Lead safety meetings and training sessions.
• Review production data and prepare reports.
• Order tools and supplies for manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance on mills, kilns, and machinery.
