Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance in designing, installing, operating, and maintaining measuring apparatus necessary to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water.
• Performs studies and analysis of environmental conditions.
• Plans and installs equipment revisions relating to the environment.
• Assures conformance with federal, state, and municipal environmental regulations.
• Liaises with regulatory agencies and coordinates communications.
• Oversees analysis of air, water, and land systems and implements corrective actions.
• Develops policies for air, water, and land systems per regulations and safety.
• Evaluates operations to reduce waste or pollution.
• Supports development and implementation of an Environmental Management System across regions.
• Forecasts regulatory changes and suggests adaptation strategies.
• Develops systems to measure environmental progress via audits.
• Identifies environmental risks and develops reduction actions.
• Acts as internal consultant on environmental matters and permit authorizations.
• Assesses regional resources and staffing for compliance.
• Provides coaching and mentoring to field managers.
