Job summary

Ash Grove Cement is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance technician to repair and install plant machinery, pumps, compressors, pipes, and related equipment. You will read drawings and blueprints and perform welding, machining, and rigging as needed.

Shift is Monday–Friday 8am–4pm with on-call rotation. Pay is $38.72 per hour with incremental annual increases. Benefits include Health and Vision Insurance, 401(k) with company match, Paid Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement, EAP, Life Insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn; training provided.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Must possess mechanical skills to repair compressors, pumps, plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Move, install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble process equipment and machinery.
• Interpret prints, blueprints, charts and orders to complete repair jobs; solve routine problems.
• Tack-welding and welding as needed; lay out and weld sheet steel for structural work.
• Maintain and inspect air compressors, pumps, and distribution systems; perform rigging and lifting operations.
