Job summary

Legend Biotech, based in Raritan, NJ, seeks a Maintenance Specialist I (1st shift) to join the Facilities & Engineering team. You will support maintenance for cGMP cell therapy manufacturing, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant operations as production ramps up for clinical and commercial use.

The role requires hands-on expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and CMMS, with strong documentation and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Biological/Biochemical Science/Bioengineering or High School diploma with equivalent experience.
• Experience with CMMS maintenance management system and cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain HVAC, clean room systems and process equipment.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs and technical drawings to support maintenance activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA and related standards.
• Support maintenance-driven quality events and continuous improvement initiatives.
