Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking an Operations Support Specialist for 1st shift (Sun-Wed) to join the Technical Operations team in Raritan, NJ. The role covers production of personalized cell therapy in a sterile cGMP setting, with duties performed within a shift-based, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has a engineering‑related bachelor’s degree and 0–1 years of biotech operations experience, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings/weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent).
• 0–1 years of operations experience in a cGMP biotech/biopharma setting.
• Clear, concise communication skills; ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of cGMP and FDA guidance for cell-based products.

Responsibilities

• Perform process unit operations (cell culture, purification, aseptic processing, cryopreservation) per SOPs and batch records; document data clearly.
• Work on time consistent with safety, quality systems, and cGMP requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality; cross-functional teamwork for shift tasks.
• Support manufacturing process development and drive continuous improvements in cell therapy operations.
• Handle biological materials and hazardous chemicals in a controlled environment.
• Interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
