Job summary

Legend Biotech seeks an Operations Support Specialist 1st Shift (Sun-Wed) in Raritan, NJ to join the Technical Operations team. You will contribute to producing personalized cell therapies in a sterile cGMP setting, performing unit operations and recording data within a collaborative, shift-based environment.

Responsibilities include executing cell culture, purification, aseptic processing, and cryopreservation while maintaining strict safety, quality, and procedural standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 years of operations experience in a cGMP biotech/biopharma setting.
• Ability to build partnerships and work in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Clear verbal and written communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, purification, aseptic processing, and cryopreservation per SOPs and batch records.
• Record production data clearly and concisely and meet safety and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality in a cross-functional team.
• Support development of manufacturing processes and drive improvements.
• Handle biological materials and hazardous chemicals in a cGMP setting.
• Interact with all levels within the organization and adapt to shift schedules.
