Job summary

RTX in Asheville, NC is seeking a production supervisor to direct daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, on‑time delivery. You will lead a manufacturing team, plan schedules, and align resources with customer needs and financial goals.

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of manufacturing/operations experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of manufacturing/operations experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing setting.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
• Security clearance status: Not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to employees and lead engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform daily supervisory duties, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members.
• Establish work schedules and monthly delivery plans that align with resource availability, customer needs, and financial obligations.
• Lead team‑building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communication, and development of an efficient, responsive team.
• Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of the Standard Production System (SPS), including tiered accountability, visual management, and Leader Standard Work.
• Demonstrate clear focus on accountability, rapid root‑cause identification, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Drive a strong problem‑solving culture using continuous‑improvement tools.
• Champion sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction.
• Communicate requirements to peers to ensure smooth process flow.
• Hold employees accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.
• Promote a world‑class safety culture and respond promptly to EH&S requirements.
• Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Work third‑shift (weekday over‑nights) with a shift premium.
