The working lead will perform manufacturing tasks such as calibration, welding, machining, and furnace operation, demonstrating proficiency on multiple programs. As a subject‑matter expert (level III) they will mentor new and current employees and support the OJT training and auditing process. They will collaborate with support staff to achieve on‑time delivery, inventory, cost of poor quality, efficiency, and company goals, and may assist team coordinators with workflow management and day‑to‑day production issues. External candidates will receive a $1,000 sign‑on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work.
- Learn how to adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and change tooling and cutters per machining.
- Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Understand and follow quality testing techniques, inspecting product with precision gauges and measuring instruments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing documentation and labor transactions.
- Support and follow all rules, guidelines, and standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement process and safety activities.
- Work extended shifts/overtime as required by the business; some holiday hours may be required.
- 3rd shift position: Monday through Friday 10 pm – 6 am. Training will be first 3‑6 months Monday through Friday 6 am – 2 pm.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated skill in executing specific goals and plans, prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing daily goals with little or no supervision.
- Ability to train, mentor, and help others improve their knowledge and skills, respected by peers and setting a hard‑work ethic example.
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- General awareness of production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution.
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and processes.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance; considered a technical expert in at least one discipline.
- Experience working on multiple complex programs in a primary discipline and capable of working on several moderate programs in primary or additional disciplines.
- Effective communication with all levels of employees and management.

Additional Information
The role is U.S.-based; if the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
