Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Cell Lead to coordinate staffing and material flow in the production cell, ensuring timely, high-quality manufacturing for customers.

Reports to Production Supervisor. Responsibilities include optimizing work centers, updating cell boards, training new employees, conducting root-cause analyses, and ensuring health and safety compliance while supporting quality across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of experience leading and assisting small group activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Exercise considerable initiative/judgment in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements.
• Must have strong PC skills and experience with SAP, MII, label software, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to use measurement devices such as calipers and rulers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials and staffing within the production cell to maintain timely, high-quality manufacturing.
• Update information on the cell board and potentially lead cell board meetings.
• Train new employees and perform routine root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Support health & safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Perform product inspections during manufacturing and address quality or production issues.
• Manage inventory transactions and monitor changeover/line setup efficiency.

Cell Lead

This role reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in coordinating materials and staffing within the cell, ensuring timely, high-quality product manufacturing for customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Optimize work centers by moving staff and ensuring available materials for scheduled areas.
• Update information on the cell board as directed by the supervisor and may lead the cell board meeting.
• Reviews and ensures short-interval control sheets are available and completed hourly.
• Responsible for training new employees when needed.
• Performs root cause analysis and resolves problems.
• Supports, complies with, and ensures compliance with Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Performs product inspection during the manufacturing process, as directed by the supervisor.
• Works with manufacturing staff on quality and production-related issues.
• Performs inventory transactions as directed.
• Monitors changeover and/or line setup efficiency.
• Performs root cause analysis and resolves problems.
