Job summary

Mativ, a global leader in specialty materials, is seeking a Manufacturing Cell Lead to coordinate staffing, materials, and quality within the cell. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and focuses on efficient production, training, and problem resolution.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong computer skills (SAP, MII, label software, Microsoft Office), and the ability to guide small teams in a fast-paced environment while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of experience leading and assisting small group activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Exercise considerable initiative/judgment in work methods and in interpreting and delegating work requirements.
• Must have strong PC skills and experience with SAP, MII, label software, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to use measurement devices such as calipers and rulers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and materials for scheduled areas.
• Update information on the cell board and may lead the cell board meeting.
• Train new employees when needed.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Support health & safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform product inspections during manufacturing as directed.
• Work with manufacturing staff on quality and production-related issues.
• Perform inventory transactions as directed.
• Monitor changeover and line setup efficiency.

This role reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in coordinating materials and staffing within the cell, ensuring timely, high-quality product manufacturing for customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Optimize work centers by moving staff and ensuring available materials for scheduled areas.
• Update information on the cell board as directed by the supervisor and may lead the cell board meeting.
• Reviews and ensures short-interval control sheets are available and completed hourly.
• Responsible for training new employees when needed.
• Performs root cause analysis and resolves problems.
• Supports, complies with, and ensures compliance with Health & Safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Performs product inspection during the manufacturing process, as directed by the supervisor.
• Works with manufacturing staff on quality and production-related issues.
• Performs inventory transactions as directed.
• Monitors changeover and/or line setup efficiency.
