Job summary

Mativ is seeking a manufacturing operator to join a team focused on delivering high-quality components in a clean, safe environment. The candidate should have 2+ years in manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, with a shift from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Able to read, interpret, and follow technical instructions.
• Ability to read blueprints and take measurements with a ruler.
• Experience operating machinery and performing inspections.
• Understanding of key areas of the manufacturing process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production records and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation.
• Inspect product to meet quality standards and customer specs.
• Read customer drawings, measurements, and tolerances including blueprints.
• Produce accurate medical or non-medical products.
• Adjust gear ratios and re-registration within the press.
• Record time and materials in SAP job costing module.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain logs.
• Operate or monitor multiple pieces of equipment for quality production.
• Follow safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Load/unload items on the production line and assist with packaging.
• Inspect for defects and pull items from line as needed.
• Collaborate with manufacturing staff on quality and production issues.
• Read ruler and traceability records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Perform inspections to ensure the product meets stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
• Read, analyze, and interpret customer drawings, measurements, and tolerances, including blueprints.
• Produce dimensionally accurate medical or non-medical products.
• Adjust gear ratios and re-registration within the press.
• Track time and materials used at the press by entering data in the job costing module (SAP).
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per engineering procedures and ensure maintenance logs are up to date.
• Operate /monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Load and unload items on the production line, including packaging or unpacking products.
• Inspect products for defects and pull items off the line before they proceed further in the production process.
• Works with manufacturing staff on quality and production-related issues.
• Possesses the ability to read and understand ruler and traceability records.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions
• Ability to read blueprints and take measurements with a ruler
• Experience operating machinery and performing inspections in a similar function or environment
• Display knowledge of key areas of the manufacturing process
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general production records and procedures
