Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to oversee efficient, high-quality production and serve as the primary bridge between Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality and Engineering. You will support shop-floor systems, provide user support, troubleshoot, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring GMP compliance and data integrity.

The role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams, driving lean initiatives, and ensuring material availability aligns with production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, adaptability and collaboration across departments.
• Experience working with outside vendors and contractors.
• Program management experience.
• SAP (or related ERP) system experience.
• Ability to bridge Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality and Engineering.
• Strong shop-floor process knowledge (batch/discrete).
• Hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
• Delivery to schedule and meet objectives.
• Strong communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute inbound receiving for all incoming raw materials.
• Coordinate annual physical inventories.
• Coordinate cycle counts and analyze discrepancies with improvement recommendations.
• Coordinate off-site warehouse inventory transactions and audits.
• Reconcile off-site and internal inventory quantities and value.
• Validate raw material and vendor costs for annual budget.
• Analyze warehouse data to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with supply chain and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound material movements.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, warehouse and production to refine packaging designs for new products.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic systems and logs; review cycle count verification records.
• Participate in ISO compliance audits.
• Manage inventory adjustments across off-site and internal warehouses.
• Serve as SME for product lifecycle management from Coating Converting Warehouse Customer.
• Order consumables and manage inventories and purchases.
• Adhere to safety rules and keep a clean work area.
• Comply with attendance policies.
• Support other MATIV facilities as needed.

Description

The principal responsibility of the Manufacturing Operations Specialist ensures efficient, high-quality production by overseeing processes, coordinating teams, supporting, optimizing and continuously improving shop floor processes and implementing improvements across the manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary (Key Super User bridge between Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality and Engineering to ensure the noted responsibilities are executed effectively in providing reliable, compliant, and efficient production and process execution. This position acts as the site subject matter expert for shop-floor systems, providing user support, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and operational readiness while ensuring GMP compliance and data integrity. The role also supports cross-functional collaboration, real-time issue resolution and adoption of standardized business processes across the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating with supply chain and vendors to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, managing inventory levels and aligning material availability with production schedules
• Coordinate inbound and outbound ATM transportation movements
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, warehouse and production teams to refine product packaging improvement designs to support new product introductions and resolve production issues
• Maintaining accurate records in electronic systems or paper logs, reviewing cycle count verification records and ensuring adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements
• Participate in ISO compliance audits
• Inventory adjustments management across off-site and internal warehouse
• SME for product lifecycle management from Coating Converting Warehouse Customer
• Consumable ordering and management of inventories and purchases
• Follows safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Complies with company attendance policies
• Other duties as assigned by Site Leader or Manufacturing Manager
• May include assistance to other MATIV facilities
