Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to ensure efficient, high-quality production by overseeing processes, coordinating teams, supporting optimization, and implementing improvements across shop-floor operations.

This role serves as the primary (Key Super User bridge between Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality and Engineering to ensure the noted responsibilities are executed effectively in providing reliable, compliant, and efficient production and process execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience supporting and applications in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, adaptability and the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Experience working with outside vendors and contractors.
• Program management.
• SAP (or related ERP) System experience.
• Delivery to schedule and qualify objectives.
• The ability to work with key stakeholders.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain enterprise applications/systems.
• Strong shopfloor process knowledge.
• Hands-on, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute inbound receiving for all incoming raw materials.
• Coordinate annual physical inventories.
• Coordinate cycle counts and analyze discrepancies with recommended improvements.
• Coordinate off-site warehouse inventory transactions and audits.
• Reconcile off-site and internal inventory quantities and value.
• Validate raw material and fixed vendor cost for annual budget.
• Analyze warehouse data to identify inefficiencies and drive lean improvements.
• Coordinate with supply chain and vendors for timely procurement and align material availability with production schedules.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound ATM transportation movements.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, warehouse and production teams to refine packaging designs for new products.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic systems or logs and ensure GMP compliance.
• Participate in ISO compliance audits.
• Inventory adjustments management across sites.
• Consumable ordering and management of inventories and purchases.
• Follow safety rules and keep a clean work area.
• Comply with attendance policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Site Leader or Manufacturing Manager.
• May assist other MATIV facilities.

The principal responsibility of the Manufacturing Operations Specialist ensures efficient, high-quality production by overseeing processes, coordinating teams, supporting, optimizing and continuously improving shop floor processes and implementing improvements across the manufacturing operations. This role serves as the primary (Key Super User bridge between Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Quality and Engineering to ensure the noted responsibilities are executed effectively in providing reliable, compliant, and efficient production and process execution. This position acts as the site subject matter expert for shop-floor systems, providing user support, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and operational readiness while ensuring GMP compliance and data integrity. The role also supports cross-functional collaboration, real-time issue resolution and adoption of standardized business processes across the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inbound and outbound ATM transportation movements
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, warehouse and production teams to refine product packaging improvement designs to support new product introductions and resolve production issues
• Maintaining accurate records in electronic systems or paper logs, reviewing cycle count verification records and ensuring adherence to corporate and regulatory requirements
• Participate in ISO compliance audits
• Inventory adjustments management across off-site and internal warehouse
• Consumable ordering and management of inventories and purchases
• Follows safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Complies with company attendance policies
• Other duties as assigned by Site Leader or Manufacturing Manager
• May include assistance to other MATIV facilities
