Job summary

Luster National, Inc. is seeking CEI Inspectors at various skill levels, including CEI Inspector Aid and CEI Inspector I, for transportation projects in Georgia. This post builds a talent pool for future needs and candidate profiles will be activated in the system for upcoming projects.

Selected finalists will be notified when project needs arise; training is provided to obtain required GDOT certifications and related qualifications.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
General knowledge of mathematical functions.
Skill in the use of office equipment such as calculators.
Ability to learn and interpret construction plans, contract provisions, and inspection procedures.
Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles in Georgia.
Proficiency with computers (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, internet).

Responsibilities

Will perform a range of routine and standardized work including manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract.
Will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course; borrow material and asphaltic concrete at project field sites.
Will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing.
Will perform contract administrative duties, including field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, and other required documentation.
May use equipment such as Slump Cone, Air Meter, Measuring Wheel/Tape, Thermometer; incumbents will be trained in equipment use.
May work at remote sites around construction equipment, drilling rigs, explosives and environmental contamination.
