Job summary

Luster National seeks CEI Inspectors of various skill levels for transportation projects in Georgia. These roles support Construction, Engineering, and Inspection services across multiple counties; final level depends on candidate background.

Qualifications

• GDOT WECS certification
• GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification
• Passing GDOT Construction Engineering Inspection Training Tests – Group 1 (General Provisions, Auxiliary Items, Basic Highway Math, Basic Highway Plan Reading)

Responsibilities

• Will perform a range of routine and standardized work including manual and/or electronic calculations, computations, and inspections of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with the construction contract.
• Will inspect truck load tickets for roadway aggregate base course; borrow material and asphaltic concrete at project field sites.
• Will perform a variety of simple materials sampling, inspection and/or testing.
• Will perform contract administrative duties, which may include field measurements of pay item quantities, project close-out, as well as other Department required documentation.
• May be required to use a number of different pieces of equipment such as Slump Cone, Air Meter, Measuring Wheel/Tape, Thermometer, etc. Incumbents will be fully trained in the use of equipment necessary to accomplish their work.
• May be required to work at remote sites around construction equipment, drilling rigs, explosives and environmental contamination.
