Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer for CDN development to design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network for Starlink. You will contribute to robust distributed systems, tooling, and real-time operation capabilities across global networks.

The role requires a CS/engineering background or 2+ years of software dev experience in C/C++/Rust, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills. On-site in Hawthorne, CA with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or other STEM discipline OR 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Software development experience in C, C++, or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Starlink.
• Build robust, responsive, and scalable distributed systems.
• Develop tools, visibility, and alerting to diagnose, operate, and maintain complex systems in real-time.
• Design algorithms to optimize hardware utilization and cost efficiency against performance metrics.
• Implement systems which shape traffic across multiple CDNs.
• Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and manage experiments for future design concepts.
