Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for CDN (Starlink) to design, build, and scale a scalable Content Delivery Network that supports Starlink’s global internet infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering or STEM with 5+ years of software development (or 7+ years in lieu of a degree).
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust.
• 3+ years of distributed systems experience or CDN design/implementation experience.
• 3+ years of professional networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Starlink.
• Build robust, responsive, and scalable distributed systems.
• Develop tools, visibility, and alerting mechanisms for real-time operation.
• Design algorithms to optimize hardware utilization and cost efficiency.
• Implement traffic shaping across multiple CDNs.
• Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and experiments for future design concepts.
