SpaceX in California is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and scale a new Content Delivery Network for Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. You will develop robust distributed systems, build tooling for operation and monitoring, and contribute to architecture reviews.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software development, strong skills in C/C++/Rust, and 3+ years in distributed systems and networking, with a passion for scalable, high-performance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering or STEM and 5+ years of software development, or 7+ years without a degree.
Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust.
3+ years distributed systems experience.
3+ years networking experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and scale a new CDN for Starlink.
Build robust, scalable distributed systems.
Develop tools for diagnosis, operation, and real-time monitoring.
Design algorithms to optimize hardware utilization and cost.
Implement traffic shaping across multiple CDNs.
Lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
Develop prototypes and experiments for future concepts.
