Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Field Utility Technician to perform a variety of duties in water transmission and distribution, including valve maintenance, hydrant work, and reading blueprints. The role requires reading and following instructions, safety compliance, and the ability to work overtime when needed.

The position emphasizes teamwork, independent work, and proficiency with water system data and maintenance tools, with readiness for night/weekend standby as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Must be able to comprehend oral and written instructions and communicate in English.
• Must be eligible for overtime.
• Possess a valid NJ driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install new or replacement water distribution mains and hydrants with appurtenances.
• Repair, maintain and/or operate water distribution facilities and equipment.
• Read, understand and implement valve maintenance program.
• Use proper installation and maintenance techniques for water lines and appurtenances.
• Follow safety policies and procedures in all tasks.
• Provide support to Field Service Representative as needed.
