Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a field technician to install, repair and maintain water distribution assets. The role involves outdoor labor, heavy equipment, and maintenance of records and site safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma, construction experience, and CDL Class A plus a drinking water distribution license within 1 year. The job requires readiness for overtime and emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven construction experience; water utility/pipework preferred.
• CDL Class A with endorsements required; ability to obtain state drinking water license within 1 year.
• Ability to read maps and interpret construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Maintain water distribution system by repairing, tapping and installing mains and service lines, valves, hydrants, and meters.
• Perform excavation restoration in grass, sidewalks, roads, easements and rights of way.
• Carry out carpentry, painting and plumbing as necessary to support field work.
• Conduct flow tests, leak surveys, and field water quality testing; obtain samples for lab analysis.
