Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a versatile Utility Technician to support transmission and distribution of water systems. You will service valves, hydrants, and blow-offs, read blueprints, and maintain water atlases while adhering to safety policies and regulatory guidelines.

The role requires reading and following instructions, teamwork, and willingness to work overtime. A NJ driver's license is required, with CDL Class A training eligible within four months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must read, compute, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to participate in standby and overtime programs.
• Able to operate heavy equipment safely and read maintenance schedules.
• Must have a valid NJ driver's license and pursue CDL A within four months.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain water distribution mains, hydrants, and appurtenances.
• Repair and operate water distribution facilities with related equipment.
• Read valve maintenance programs and maintain water atlases.
• Comply with company safety policies and coordinate with field teams.
• Support shutdowns, traffic control, and construction crew needs.
• Maintain preventive maintenance database and documentation.
