Veolia in North America is seeking a skilled Utility Technician to join our water distribution team in New Jersey. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining water mains, reading blueprints, and supporting field operations with strong safety practices.

Must possess a High School Diploma or GED and be eligible for overtime. We value teamwork and the ability to work independently in a field environment, including night, weekend, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret blueprints and revise water atlases.
• Experience operating power-driven construction tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of water distribution system maintenance and repair.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to policies.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install/replace water mains, services, and fire hydrants.
• Maintain and operate water distribution facilities and equipment.
• Read and implement valve maintenance programs.
• Perform maintenance on water line installations and repairs.
• Use tools safely and follow procedures for field work.
• Support Field Service Representatives during standby and on-call shifts.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory guidelines.
