Job summary

WM is seeking qualified Commercial Drivers for its heavy-duty truck fleet in the United States. Drivers operate trucks with front, side, or rear-end load attachments, and transport waste or recyclables to disposal or recycling facilities, while performing pre-trip inspections and maintaining safety standards.

This safety-sensitive role requires CDL A or B with air-brake endorsement, the ability to pass pre-employment screening, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or
• 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years and
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located and
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
• Successfully complete pre‑employment screening, including drug screen and physical
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air‑brake endorsement or
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air‑brake endorsement

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with WM safety rules and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents checks.
• Reports unsafe situations or service-related issues.
• Attends training programs and meetings as required.
• Works with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies.
• Notifies Manager of incidents or service interruptions.
• Communicates customer requests as needed.
• Dumps receptacles and leaves site clean.
• Follows route assignments and completes end-of-day documentation.
