Job summary

WM (Waste Management) is seeking CDL drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks across front, side, or rear-end load assignments. You will transport waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, ensuring loads meet legal limits and safety standards on the road.

The role covers residential, commercial, and roll-off duties, with emphasis on safe backing, pre-trip inspections, and collaborating with Dispatch to maintain efficient routes and high service levels.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement.
• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.
• 1 year CDL driving or 1 year equivalent military driving in the last 7 years.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public.
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must be able to perform duties with safety and comply with DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial truck in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR).
• Report unsafe situations or service issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend training and meetings as required; support route efficiency and best practices.
• Notify Operations Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and check-out process.
• Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
