Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently provide waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate various truck types, assist helpers, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to all regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and clear communication with customers and supervisors. A valid CDL, a willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions, and the ability to perform routine equipment inspections are

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate.
• Able to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Able to safely operate and back up the vehicle using mirrors and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Drives a rear-load, split body, curotto, or automated-side load truck along designated routes to collect waste and take to post-collection facilities.
• Assists helpers in loading waste as needed and monitors safety on the route.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and documents vehicle condition.
• Interacts courteously with customers and the public and responds to requests.
• Maintains DOT logs and route productivity sheets as required by law or policy.
