Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to operate residential and recycling collection trucks on assigned routes. You will load waste, stack materials, and ensure proper compaction while following safety protocols.

The role requires a CDL, clean driving record, and the ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections. Strong customer communication and physical stamina are important for daily route execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling truck and load solid waste or recyclables on assigned routes.
• Load and compact waste in truck; follow safety procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; complete daily reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor and mechanic.
• Maintain route quality and adhere to company safety policies.
