Job summary

GFL Industries seeks a Residential Driver to safely collect waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes, maintaining a clean vehicle and following safety guidelines. You will handle loading, operating and maintaining equipment and may supervise helpers on assigned routes.

The role requires a CDL or at least one year of commercial driving experience, high school diploma or GED, and strong customer communication skills to ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• CDL required or at least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend maps and documents.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection vehicle on specified route.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and operate related equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and document outcomes.
• Maintain route quality and safety standards per management.
• May supervise helpers where applicable.
