Job summary

FedEx Freight in Pocono Summit, PA is hiring a Truck Driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers and to support the selling process. Starting rate is $31.26 per hour.

This role requires a Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements, DOT compliance, and the ability to handle up to 100 lb, operate forklifts and other equipment, and communicate with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, haz materials and tank endorsements. Automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• Must have one year of experience in the last three years or completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must meet MVR and DOT regulatory requirements.
• LCV qualifications apply in listed states with required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer or straight trucks for freight pickup and delivery.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and secure freight in trailers.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Assist sales with generating leads and new opportunities.
