Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to pick up and deliver freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting the selling process. The role requires operating tractor-trailers, performing safety inspections, and processing required documentation.

Starting pay is $31.26 per hour. Candidates must hold a class A CDL with double/triple endorsements and DOT compliance. The job involves customer communication and potential additional duties to support operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds several times a week.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, bend, twist, squat, climb in/out of truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations and other equipment.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Handle freight with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Complete documentation and reports.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Communicate with customers and dispatch about pickups, deliveries, and delays.
• Support selling process and solicit additional business.
