Job summary

NEW Cooperative is seeking a CDL driver to move grain and operate equipment at our Blencoe location. This full-time role requires a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements, strong safety practices, and a commitment to high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• Must have or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsement.
• Must pass a DOT physical at least every 2 years as required by law.
• Understand the importance of providing very high levels of customer service.
• High school diploma or GED with 1-3 months of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
• Able to interact and communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Possesses problem solving capability and understands operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Drives trucks to move grain and other products to designated locations.
• Complies with all DOT, OSHA, and NEW Cooperative safety programs and policies.
• Performs and documents daily truck/trailer inspections.
• Performs or schedules repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Assists in other areas of the location as needed and supports busy-season customer service.
• Works extended hours as requested by supervisor to ensure good service.
