Job summary

NEW Cooperative is hiring for a CDL driver responsible for moving grain and other products using various trailers. You must meet DOT and safety standards and maintain logs and upkeep of vehicles.

Position emphasizes customer service during busy seasons, with expected extended hours and adherence to company safety programs. High school diploma or GED is required, and a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical every 2 years at a minimum as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Drives trucks to move grain with hopper and other products with a variety of trailer types to designated locations.
• Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and NEW Cooperative safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Performs or schedules repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Assist in other areas of the location as needed.
• Works extended hours as requested by supervisor to ensure good customer service in busy season.
