Job summary

NEW Cooperative, a farmer-owned cooperative, is seeking an experienced CDL truck driver to move grain and other products. You will operate hopper and various trailers, maintain logs, and uphold safety standards on every shift.

You will comply with DOT/OSHA requirements, perform daily inspections, and assist in other location needs during busy seasons. A Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements is preferred, and a DOT physical is required.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsement.
• Must pass a DOT physical every 2 years or as required by law.
• High school diploma or GED with 1-3 months of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Drives trucks to move grain with hopper and other products using various trailer types.
• Comply with DOT, OSHA, and NEW Cooperative safety programs and procedures.
• Perform and document daily truck/trailer inspections and maintenance as needed.
• Assist in other areas of the location as required.
• Work extended hours as needed to ensure good customer service in busy season.
