Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, supporting the selling process.

The role involves operating tractor-trailer combinations (including doubles/triples where applicable), performing daily safety inspections, securing freight, completing required paperwork, and complying with hazardous materials and DOT regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Must hold a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements.
One year of driving experience within the last three years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
Must have acceptable MVR according to hiring standards.
Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations 391.
LCV qualifications for specified states may apply; meet minimum standards.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable.
Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
Handle freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Secure freight with pallets, straps, and rope inside trailers.
Record and verify required documentation and reports.
Comply with hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
Provide customer service and solicit additional business.
