Job summary

Jefferson County, Colorado is seeking a Streets Maintenance Worker / CDL Trainee to perform road maintenance, snow removal, and related duties across multiple districts including Golden, Littleton, Evergreen and more. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 18+, a valid driver's license, and may require obtaining a Class B or A CDL with tanker endorsement.

CDL training is provided along with benefits, PTO, holidays, and health insurance.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must be at least 18 years old by hire date.
Valid Driver’s License for 2 consecutive years prior to hire; Colorado license within 30 days if from out of state.
May require Class B or A CDL with tanker endorsement and DOT medical card within 12 months.
Flagger Certification within 3 months of hire.
Respond to emergencies and snow removal operations 24/7; report to shop within 1 hour.

Responsibilities

Assist in road maintenance operations including repaving, pothole filling, crack-sealing, and drainage maintenance.
Perform snow removal using light and heavy equipment.
Operate mowing and hand tools; conduct pre/post-trip inspections on equipment.
Prepare equipment for use and arrange maintenance/repairs as needed.
Engage in general maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor servicing.
