FedEx Freight in Hayward, CA, is seeking a tractor-trailer driver to move trailers between service centers and turn-point locations. A valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements is required along with a clean MVR and DOT compliance.

You will conduct pre-trip inspections, connect trailers, log hours, and follow dispatch instructions. Long combination vehicles and loading duties may be involved, with full benefits and pay differentials for linehaul vs non-linehaul work.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• Must have 1 year experience within the last 3 years or completed FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT FMCSA requirements under 391.

Aufgaben

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles (triples where applicable).
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Comply with hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• May perform chaining of tires.
• May perform city driver or dock duties as needed.
• Load and unload freight.
