Job summary

Lakeshore Waste Services in Minneapolis, MN is looking for a Swing Driver to service customer accounts and haul waste and recyclables to disposal or recycling facilities. The role may rotate among Container, Commercial, Roll Off or Residential duties as needed.

You will operate vehicles safely, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and coordinate with Dispatch and Route Manager to improve route efficiency and service quality. Training and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Ability to drive manual transmission or learn.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card.
• No DUI or OVI within the past 5 years and no more than 2 in 10 years.
• No license suspensions in the last 2 years.
• Able to read and speak English well.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments safely and efficiently.
• Operate vehicle per safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe situations promptly to Route Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend required training and coordinate with Route Manager to improve routes.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents or service interruptions.
• Maintain driver logs and communicate with customers professionally.
• Help Lead Driver coordinate team and route changes when directed.
