Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. in Bayou Country, LA, is hiring swing drivers to operate a range of refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes and to supervise helpers on the route.

The role includes performing pre- and post-trip inspections and ensuring safety and efficiency on every pickup. Candidates must hold a valid CDL (A or B), have at least 2 years of waste-industry driving experience, be 21+, and comply with DOT/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of operation.
• 2 years of waste industry driving experience within the past 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established routes and dumps garbage into refuse trucks.
• Oversees helpers on the route and ensures proper pickups.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections and safety checks.
• Maintains cleanliness of the truck and proper documentation.
• Responds to resident questions and directs to Customer Service as needed.
• Works on other tasks such as assisting other routes or events.
