Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking Commercial Drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks for waste and recycling pickup across our service area. You will perform inspections, follow DOT requirements, and work with Dispatch to maintain safe, efficient routes.

The role requires a Class B CDL, a current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one, and strong English reading/writing skills. You will participate in trainings and help keep containers and streets clear.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B commercial driver's license.
• Must hold a current DOT medical card or obtain before hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well for directions and safety training.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks for waste/recycling pickup.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report unsafe conditions to Route Manager/Dispatch.
• Participate in training programs and safety meetings.
• Support route efficiency improvements and best practices.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents or service interruptions.
• Ensure containers are docked, lids closed and driveways are clear.
• Complete end-of-day paperwork and assist other drivers as needed.
