Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a CDL with a passenger vehicle endorsement and a clean driving record, with background checks and drug testing as part of the process.

The driver will follow all traffic laws, maintain bus safety and cleanliness, perform inspections, and ensure student safety at all times. Opportunities to participate in LifeWise classroom activities may be available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P)
• Age 21–80; annual review for those over 75
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy; FMCSA Clearinghouseand drug/alcohol testing per policy

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist with boarding/alighting
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training; may volunteer in LifeWise classroom
