Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will maintain safe driving practices and classroom safety, while adhering to all school transportation policies.

The ideal candidate demonstrates punctuality, a mature faith in line with our beliefs, and commitment to LifeWise programs. This is a part-time, non-exempt position requiring background checks and periodic drug testing.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• Age 21–80; under 75 annual CDL license & endorsement kept on file.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing per pre-employment and random tests.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safety of students on board.
• Keep bus clean and perform regular vehicle inspections.
• Refuel and ensure mechanical safety of the bus.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle.
