Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Swing Driver to safely operate Front End, Roll Off, Residential and other truck types on various collection routes. You will deliver solid waste or recyclables to landfill, MRF or transfer station and may fill in on different routes as needed to maintain service levels.

Responsibilities include completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting mechanical issues, maintaining a professional demeanor, and ensuring all safety protocols and PPE are used.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple vehicle types on collection routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.
• Report mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Maintain clean vehicles and document route activities.
• Train or supervise helpers as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and company rules.
