Job summary

WM is seeking a CDL driver based in Sterling, VA to operate heavy-duty trucks for waste collection and disposal routes. The role involves vehicle inspections, safe loading/unloading, and maintaining route documentation. Must meet CDL requirements and pass pre-employment screening.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of CDL driving experience, be 18+, and fluent in English. Training is provided, with full-time hours and a benefits package typical for WM drivers.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement or Class B with air-brake endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year driving a CDL vehicle within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Readable/writable English to interact with the public and complete records.
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks following WM safety and DOT rules.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Communicate service needs and route issues to Management.
• Back up and park with precise maneuvering and safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain end-of-day documentation and route logs.
