Job summary

Veit is seeking a qualified truck driver to deliver and pick up roll-off containers in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. You will operate CDL‑required vehicles, conduct safety inspections, and coordinate with Dispatch to ensure on‑time service and accurate billing.

We emphasize safety, dependable attendance, and professional customer interactions. This is a union role with Teamsters 120, offering competitive, location-based compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with six months related experience or training
• Class A or B CDL License required
• DOT medical card required
• Experience using email and electronic tracking or ability to learn new computer hardware and software
• Ability to read maps and navigate with GPS
• Ability to comply with safety precautions
• Ability to follow Veit safety training and manuals
• Ability to communicate with Dispatch and customers
• Willingness to meet attendance schedule and show dependability

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up roll-off containers
• Monitor local area road conditions and detours
• Complete work orders on Android tablet for billing
• Adhere to DOT hours-of-service regulations with Dispatch
• Represent Veit professionally on site and on road
• Communicate delivery changes to Dispatch
• Share future jobsite leads with dispatcher or sales
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of assigned equipment
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and coordinate with mechanics
