Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a licensed CDL-A driver to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-points. You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, documentations, and logs, and communicate with dispatch about delays or equipment issues.

This role may require handling hazardous materials endorsements and long combination vehicle operations in various states. Overnight stays may be possible depending on schedules.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with double/triple, hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
• Must have 1 year experience within the most recent 3 years or complete FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Must have acceptable MVR per hiring standards and meet DOT FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer configurations and hook/unhook trailers.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and complete required documentation.
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate delays or problems.
• Load and unload freight and perform other duties as needed.
