Job summary

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Richmond is seeking a CDL Support Technician (Hourly/Wage) to help maintain and update CDL and driver history records for compliance with federal and state regulations. This high-volume role focuses on accuracy and resolving duplicate pointers in the SPEXS system to support REAL ID readiness.

Wage position limits apply: up to 1,500 hours per agency per year and a maximum of 29 hours per week, with no state benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with high-volume data entry.
• Experience in customer service addressing complex issues.
• Experience in regulatory/public service environments with CDL management/driver history

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate and update CDL/driver history records for compliance.
• Resolve duplicate pointers in SPEXS to ensure REAL ID readiness.
• Maintain accuracy of driver history records and assist regulatory processes.
