Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Ohio is seeking a Rear Load Truck Driver to service residential and commercial routes. You will operate and maintain waste collection equipment, interact professionally with customers, and ensure safe, compliant service daily.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card, with physical ability to lift and move containers, work nights/weekends as needed, and travel between locations. Rumpke promotes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• This position requires a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Strong map-reading and routing skills are essential.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers and haul to disposal site.
• Enter/exit the truck approximately 300-600 times per day depending on route.
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or buildings as needed.
• Replace receptacles neatly at curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and teammates.
• Clean waste from packer blade and truck body; keep cab clean.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed; load bulk items as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck and operate other truck types as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
